Can you tell if he's an F-bay by the cologne he wears?

Let’s talk about red flags. We all have them and I will be the first person to admit that. There are the obvious red flags that you can see. Such as, not holding the door for you or they are rude to waiters. However, you can tell by the cologne a guy wears that they could be a red flag. So, I am going to introduce you to some popular colognes. Then, I’ll let you know if the men that wear them are okay to bring home to Mama or if he is made for the streets.

Sauvage by Dior

Fresh Spicy, Amber, Citrus, Aromatic

Level of Danger: 5/5

This breaks my heart to say because this cologne has everything I love. The accords describe the perfect man, which is how they reel you in. You think they are boyfriend material, and then they rip the rug out from under you. Every guy I have ever met wearing this cologne is a certified F-boy. So you have been warned, proceed with caution.

Bleu de Chanel by Chanel

Citrus, Amber, Woody, Warm Spicy, Aromatic

Level of Danger: 2/5

The man that wears this can definitely be a guy that you can take home to meet your family. However, you might have to work your way out of the friend zone. This fragrance is popular among young men. It is a good first luxury cologne, but watch out when they feel that Chanel first touches their skin. Don’t fret though, work your six-month plan and keep at it. He’ll come around and see you for who you are.

Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani

Citrus, Aromatic, Marine, Fresh Spicy, Floral

Level of Danger: 1/5

I personally would not run away from a man who wears this cologne. However, I would not be particularly excited about it either. This is too safe of an option if you ask me. This cologne is light due to its citrus notes, but it lacks depth to me. I do not smell too much of the fresh spicy accord when I smell this fragrance but it does remind me of being clean after taking a shower. So, if he wears this, definitely a safe choice. He takes care of himself, but you might get a little bored from the lack of passion.

Gucci Guilty by Gucci

Woody, Fresh Spicy, Aromatic, Citrus, White Floral

Level of Danger: 2/5

Great classic for any guy to wear but there is room for improvement. If you are okay with your man smelling like every other dude on the market, then have at it. If not, maybe have him test out colognes from the brand Replica or Phluer, that is if you make it official.

There are endless colognes that this list could go on and on. Though, these are the most popular colognes that I have noticed that men wear almost like they are giving us a warning sign before they even start talking to us. So go take a whiff of these and memorize what they smell like. You should have all the power in whether you decide you see the danger or not. Just know, he can never smell better than you.

Remember,

You Smell Good.
